Mirror mirror on the wall….
When you look at yourself in the mirror what do you see?
What do you say to yourself?
What do you think of yourself?
Do you truly like what you see?
What do you feel?
Do you love all of yourself?

The famous quote from 1937 Disney Film Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs: “Mirror mirror on the wall, who’s the fairest of them all? I used this movie and quote, firstly because I love cartoons, secondly there is so much into this that probably not a lot of people look into it. The mirror has this wisdom in answering the “truth” looking for external validation and approval, the mirror answer everyday and tells her she is the fairest until Snow White turns 7 and becomes more beautiful than the Queen, and that creates the mess that we all now due to her vanity, etc, etc.
I am using this mirror because we are the only ones that can answer this question and we cannot compare ourself to others for validation.
Mirror mirror on the wall, is the self reflexion, self awareness of us. As I am using the blog to write about the things that I am working on- improving on, I will type some of the research I found and will be applying in my life to become better than yesterday.
Self Awareness is the recognizing and understanding of your emotions, your thoughts, your feelings, behaviors, your fears, your reactions, intentions, motivations, aspirations, how are our relations with others, our attitudes.

Developing self awareness is developing a clear perception of your personality, strengths, weaknesses, thoughts, emotions, traumas from the past, fears and so on.

SELF AWARENESS IS HAVING A CLEAR INTERNAL MIRROR MIRROR ON THE WALL.

The more that you become aware the more you understand yourself and look into the mirror and start to see why you are the way you are. OF course everything with a balance self awareness without becoming self conscious, which is the excessive awareness and judging yourself too much, becoming hard on yourself, and even shaming, we don’t want to get to that point, but enough to help us become more confident and be able to make better decisions based on knowing ourself, and even at times to anticipate emotions that a certain circumstances would give us a certain emotion, so you can prepare yourself for it or not expose to it at all.
It is a very healthy thing to do and it is a game changer.

Sometimes we wake up and not feel good that day or something happened change our mood, anxiety and depression tries to sneak in, this is the perfect time to get your journal out and write down.
Question yourself like you are investigating “the case”, I can assure you, the answers you will get will help you have a better perspective on how to get rid of this mood.
For example this morning I woke up worry about things, and that immediately change my mood, I have too much going on in my head and things to do.
- I wrote down how I was feeling
- Then I made a list of the situations causing me anxiety
- Then made a little list of the possible solutions at my reach.
And then the things I did not have a solution at the moment guess what I did, I ACCEPTED that there was nothing I could do at that moment, and FOCUS on the things that I CAN do, and I remove myself from those feelings and went back to my natural state happiness.
It is something very little, but the practice of self awareness can help you develop a self of calmness and confidence, getting to know you, can help you better your relationships, understand reactions, feelings, emotions, they are so normal and so comforting to know that our thoughts do not have to control us.
I will continue walking the talk with you as I keep working in my self discovery and self improvement to become the better person that I was yesterday.
Now you can look at yourself in the mirror and ask “Mirror, Mirror on the wall…” You will be able to answer your own questions, because you are wisdom, you are beautiful, smart, and deserving of happiness.

You have the answers to all your questions, Listen to your inner voice.
